Bio
Holly Anderson is a Syracuse-based artist originally from Concord, MA. Her work explores the intersection of art, sustainability, and everyday life, creating parallel universes that challenge viewers to reconsider their relationship with the world around them. Through vibrant films, immersive installations, and seemingly alternate reality props, Anderson invites audiences into environments that imagine what our future could look like—both the beauty and the consequences of our current environmental choices.
A central theme of her practice is the environmental impact of the clothing industry. As the founder of a sustainable clothing brand, Anderson uses art as a platform to address the ecological costs of fast fashion, incorporating upcycled materials, screen printing, sewing, and painting to craft pieces that highlight the tension between aesthetics and environmental responsibility. By repurposing found objects and materials, she aims to transform discarded items into thought-provoking, purposeful creations that promote a more sustainable, conscious way of living.
Through a combination of mediums, Anderson seeks to immerse her audience in these parallel worlds—ones that celebrate the potential for positive change while confronting the stark realities of our choices. Her work is both a call to action and an invitation to imagine a more sustainable future, where beauty and responsibility coexist.
about the artist
A note on online selling.
I am extremely grateful for all the support given to my business over the past two years. It has been a VERY busy, yet fulfilling past couple of years. That being said, due to the nature of my schedule, trying to balance being a full time student and operating a business full time is near impossible and I am unable to meet everyone’s demands. For the time being, I am not able to sell my products online, and will exclusively be selling in person at the events posted on my social media. I am hoping that by summer, I will have enough time to accommodate my online customers, but in the meantime, thank you so much for understanding. Your support means the world to me.
